February Half-Term Revision Update

posted 13 Feb 2019, 01:30 by John Newman

Dear Parent/Carer

There are just thirteen weeks before the commencement of the GCSE exams and students and staff are working hard to make preparations for these. I have been really impressed by the work ethic of our year 11s and their resilience. Year 11 is never an easy year and undoubtedly, some of our students are finding its demands challenging and tiring. To this end, we will be offering some half term revision opportunities to support students with their understanding and retention. Sessions start at 9.30 in the morning, allowing for that all important later get up and afternoon sessions run until 3.00pm. As the school site will undergo general maintenance at this time, entrance to the school will be via the leisure centre and students should make their way to classroom areas as advised by teaching staff and be certain to sign in and out as they come and leave, so we are aware of their whereabouts. The timetable for revision is below:

Mon 18th Feb

Tues 19th Feb

Wed 20th Feb

Thur 21st Feb

Fri 22nd Feb

AM (9.30-12.00)

English Papers 2, Q4 and 5

PM (12.30 - 3.00)

I will be in touch again in the new term, to advise of Easter revision sessions. We have sourced some external companies to run English, Maths and Geography sessions during this time. Please do encourage your Son/Daughter to attend the relevant sessions. Students can of course, continue to access Hegarty for their online maths tuition.

If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me

Kindest Regards
