Sir Herbert Leon’s Concert Band and Junior Choir provide festive cheer for the residents of Water Hall Care Centre

Fresh from the success of the Christmas Concert, students from Sir Herbert Leon Academy gave residents of the Water Hall Care Centre a festive treat when they performed a collection of Christmas carols. The event was so popular that there was ‘no room at the inn’ for the junior choir who had to support the concert band from an adjacent room. After completing a selection of well-known carols, students mixed with the residents, handing out mince pies and drinks. For those residents that could not make it to the event, students went to their rooms instead to ensure that all people got a touch of festive magic.

Sir Herbert Leon would like to thank Water Hall for allowing us to perform, Mrs. Sherwood for organising the students and most of all, the students of the concert band and choir who made it such a memorable day for the residents.
