SIR HERBERT LEON ACADEMY CELEBRATES RESULTS DAY SUCCESSES
Students from Sir Herbert Leon Academy have been celebrating their 2024 GCSE results. The headline figure of students achieving at least grade 4 in both English and Mathematics is 54% (an 18% increase from last year).
This is only the second year that normal grading has returned since the pandemic, making these results particularly impressive.
A huge well done to all the students who made sure they were as prepared as possible for these important exams by working so hard in lessons and at home, attending after school and lunchtime interventions, booster sessions, Saturday and holiday revision sessions and drop down classes before exams. Also, a massive thank you to all the staff involved in supporting this excellent year group to their successes.
Standout results include:
Tahmeed Kabir attained five grade 9s, three grade 8s, and one grade 7. He is going on to study A Levels at Shenley Brook End School.
Thebooshen Rangan attained four grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 7s, one grade 6, and a Merit. He is going on to study A Levels at Denbigh Sixth Form.
Mora Vlasich attained one grade 9, three grade 8s, three grade 7s, three grade 6s, and a Merit. She is going on to study A Levels at Denbigh Sixth Form.
Ward Hijazi attained five grade 8s, one grade 7, two grade 6s, and one grade 5. He is going on to study A Levels at Walton High School.
Ahmed Mohamed attained four grade 8s, two grade 6s and one grade 5. He is going on to study A Levels at Walton High School.
Cathy Azevedo attained two grade 8s, six grade 7s and one grade 5. She is going on to study A Levels at Shenley Brook End School.
