Sir Herbert Leon Academy (SHLA) is an 11 - 16 mixed comprehensive in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
Learners at the academy are supported to be highly ambitious, to develop a genuine enthusiasm for learning and to be proud to represent their Academy and community.
The Academy boasts some wonderful learning facilities, particularly in Sport and the Arts. There is a library, a theatre/cinema and an abundance of IT teaching technology available in every learning environment. In addition to this, the school has a swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness suite.

Year 9 Students Tackle Life’s Big Questions in Philosophy Debate
On Tuesday 24th June, our Year 9 students had the unique opportunity to engage with one of the biggest questions in philosophy: If God exists, why is there so much suffering in the world?
As part of their transition into GCSE Religious Studies this September, students attended a thought-provoking debate on the problem of evil and suffering. Hosted by comedian and broadcaster Andy Kind—well-known for his work with the Unbelievable? podcast—the session welcomed two distinguished speakers: Dr Stephen Law, philosopher and author, and Joshua Sijiwade, academic and public thinker.
